Der Ring des Nibelungen

'The Nibelung's Ring', this daring cycle of four full-length music dramas, kept the librettist and the composer busy for more than twenty years, from the first ideas until its completion. What was new about this cycle was the word creations and alliterations or stave rhymes and even the compositional leitmotif technique.This edition contains the complete libretto of the 'Ring' including the leitmotifs of each of the four works. In addition, the reader finds the respective leitmotif(s) as well as information on the duration of its/their appearance in the margin beside the text. Thus, it is possible to grasp motifs which are difficult to determine in the case of superimposition, even without studying the score or the piano reduction.
