Moment's notice

Daniel Humair, who is considered to be one of the best drummers in contemporary jazz, has been active as a painter for over forty years.  He has never sought to establish a correlation between the two areas of his work nor to divulge any kind of influence between them.  Indeed, it would be pointless to look for any sort of quest for a relationship between the two arts in his career as a painter.  The pregnancy of gesture and rhythm in his visual art is surely the only explicit link.
